Spanda is a guess-who's-calling game and exploratory experiment for five close friends. It keeps honest score against a visible chance baseline, 25% in a full circle of five, without claiming that telepathy is proven.

Is there an app to test telepathy with friends?
Yes. Spanda is a free web app where you and four close friends run timed who's-calling trials to test telephone telepathy as a hypothesis, with a visible chance baseline and results that can't be quietly rewritten. It does not claim telepathy is proven.
Are you saying telepathy is real?
No. Telepathy is a hypothesis under test, not a proven explanation. A high score can have many causes, and the wider scientific consensus remains that telepathy has not been established.
What is Spanda?
Spanda is a free web app and opt-in game for a circle of five close friends. Every round pairs a caller and a receiver, usually by you reaching for someone (by name, or by pinging the whole circle for whoever answers first), sometimes by Spanda itself secretly and randomly pairing two circle-mates, neither told who the other is. The receiver locks a guess at who's on the other end before the timed reveal, except in Spanda's own random pairing, when you each lock your own guess, independently. A correct guess can trigger a live call.
Can Spanda tell me who I should trust?
No. Spanda is a game and an opt-in experiment, not a clinical, therapeutic, relationship, diagnostic, or decision-making tool.
What happens when I miss?
The miss is recorded exactly like the hit. No shame, no selective memory, no disappearing inconvenient results. A miss is still data.
Can anybody rig a trial?
Nobody, not even us, can change who was picked after you guess. The caller is chosen by a cryptographic random draw and sealed with a hash commitment before the trial, your guess locks before the reveal, and every outcome goes into a tamper-evident log (your data is exportable on request).
Why five people?
In a full circle of five, each guesser chooses among the other four, so every guess has a clear 25% chance baseline. It also follows the small-circle format that inspired the experiment. Spanda always records the exact baseline for the circle's real size at trial time.
What does the In-Tune gauge mean?
It is a running, chance-corrected read on guessing performance. It becomes more informative as trials accumulate, but it does not prove telepathy or any other mechanism.
Is Rupert Sheldrake involved?
No. Sheldrake and Smart's telephone research is inspiration only. Spanda is independent, there is no endorsement or partnership, and the wider scientific consensus remains that telepathy has not been established.
Does it cost anything?
